Cookie policy

Last updated: August 2026

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. This site uses very few of them, and none for advertising or tracking.

We don’t use Google Analytics or any other analytics service. We don’t run advertising cookies, and we don’t embed anything from social media platforms. Nobody is being followed around the internet as a result of visiting this site.

What we do use

Performance and caching. Our site uses caching to load pages quickly. This may set a cookie to make sure you’re served the correct version of a page.

Security. Our security software may set a cookie to identify and block malicious traffic.

Forms. If you fill in one of our forms, a cookie may be used to protect against spam submissions and to keep your entry intact while you complete it.

Logging in. If you have an account to manage this website, WordPress sets cookies to keep you signed in. These only apply to our own staff, not to visitors.

All of these are what the regulations call strictly necessary cookies — the site can’t work properly without them, so we don’t ask for consent to use them. That’s also why you aren’t greeted by a cookie banner when you arrive.

Our ordering app

Our ordering app is a separate service run by Orderlion, on a different website. Its cookies are governed by their own policy, which you’ll find on that site.

Turning cookies off

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies through its settings. Doing so won’t stop you reading this site, though our forms may not behave as they should.

Changes

If we add anything to the site that sets different cookies — analytics, a map, or an embedded video — we’ll update this page first and ask for your consent where we need to. For more on how we handle personal information, see our privacy policy.
